North Franklin Township
North Franklin Township in Washington County, PA is a largely residential community with a healthy commercial center & rural stretches. Young professionals & retirees live in the township. Most people own their homes.
North Franklin Township Park & Fitness Trail offers a walking & exercise trail that’s more than a mile long. It is used by people & their dogs. Two pavilions located next to the trail are available for rental. The township also maintains Lincoln Hill Community Park & a playground at Trinity West Elementary School.

Washington Crown Center is located in North Franklin Township. LeMoyne Crematory, a historical site that is administered by the Washington County Historical Society, is located in the township. Two sports facilities and a sports office are there:

- PONY Baseball & Softball International Headquarters
- Washington & Jefferson College’s Ross Memorial Park & Alexandre Stadium, which hold athletic facilities for the college’s baseball, soccer & lacrosse teams

Children attend schools in the Trinity Area School District along with students from Canton Township, South Strabane Township and Amwell Township. Kindergarten through fifth grade is held at Trinity West Elementary School. Children in grades six through eight attend Trinity Middle School. Students then attend Trinity High School.

In late 2018, the North Franklin Township Board of Supervisors unanimously disbanded the township police department to deal with a major budget deficit rather than raising taxes. State police respond to emergency calls.
More than 4,500 people live in North Franklin Township. It is located southwest of Washington, PA. It is a suburb of Pittsburgh, being just 33 miles southwest of Pittsburgh using Interstate 79.
